Community Service

Mr. Gillett recently received the 2019 Sietz Award for Community Service Award given by the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association.  

Mr. Gillett is a Major in the California State Guard. Major Gillett is the Deputy Commander of the Cyber Operations within the Domestic Operations Detachment of the California State Guard.  MAJ Gillett leads the first state-wide cyber unit responsible for the protection of critical cyber infrastructure.  He is a former Judge Advocate where he served National Guard Airmen and Soldiers, as well as United States Coast Guardsmen, in civil matters related to deployment.  MAJ Gillett has served in various leadership roles including logistics and communications officer. MAJ Gillett’s awards include the CA Army National Guard Medal of Merit, CA Army National Guard Commendation Medal, CA Army National Guard Adjutant General Meritorious Unit Citation, and the CA Army National Guard State Service Ribbon.
