Courtney M. Lane

Courtney M. Lane leads the Family Law team at Gillett Law, where she represents clients in both the San Luis Obispo and San José offices in matters involving family and estate litigation. She is known for her astute courtroom presence, practical judgment, and ability to connect with clients navigating some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Ms. Lane brings a broad and dynamic professional background to her legal practice. Before entering the legal field, she held a successful career as a marketing executive, advising companies on branding, outreach, and strategic development—experience that informs her clear communication style and client-centered approach. Her work as a licensed realtor further provided her with firsthand knowledge of real estate transactions and property negotiations, insight that adds depth to her litigation practice.

She also draws on her prior experience in estate planning and trust administration, allowing her to engage with complex family and property matters with a high level of sophistication and care. A native of the Sacramento area, Ms. Lane has developed strong ties to the communities of North County San Luis Obispo, where she enjoys contributing to the region both personally and professionally.
